The Water Quality Research Journal of Canada is a quarterly publication. It is primarily meant to be a forum for original research articles dealing with water quality issues of relevance to the environmental conditions found in Canada. Water pollution is a serious ecological threat. Drinking contaminated water is hazardous to human and animal health. When toxic substances dissolve in bodies of water, such as oceans, rivers and lakes, the water becomes polluted. Pollutants tend to lie suspended in the water or deposited on the bed. They degrade the quality of water over time.

Warmer waters, heavier storms and nutrient pollution are a triple threat to Great Lakes cities' drinking water. The solution: Cutting nutrient releases and installing systems to filter runoff. Water quality index (WQI) is valuable and unique rating to depict the overall water quality status in a single term that is helpful for the selection of appropriate treatment technique to meet the concerned issues. However, WQI depicts the composite influence of different water quality parameters and communicates water quality information to the public and legislative decision makers. OCLC Number: Notes: "A paper presented to the Annual Conference Pollution Control Association of Ontario: May , , Royal York Hotel, Toronto, Ontario.".

Water Pollution: Causes, Effects And Control Is A Book Providing Comprehensive Information On The Fundamentals And Latest Developments In The Field Of Water Book Is Divided Into 28 Chapters Covering Almost All The Aspect Of Water Pollution Including Water Resources And General Properties Of Water; History Of Water Pollution And Legislation; Origin, Sources And Effects Of /5(7). In the Water Pollution Inquiry Unit, Ms. Whitman integrated English/Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Growing out of the children’s experience with floods in their communities in Columbia in the fall of , the water pollution unit had immediate significance for their lives. Operation Water Pollution. Operation Water Pollution enables students in grades five to twelve to learn about water pollution (including what causes it, how it is cleaned up, how it can be prevented, and what they can personally do about the problem). The Operation Water Pollution program directly connects with science and social studies curricula.
